El Yunque provides us with beautiful woods such as mahogany, teak, and rose wood. At the forest, majestic Tabonuco trees drape the lower forest while giant trees ferns fan in the wind. El Yunque is also important for the enviroment by taking large amounts of Carbon-bioxide out of the air and giving us fresher cleaner air. It is also the habitat of many kinds of Flora ans Fauna species, some of them are endangered.
El Yunque Tropical Rain Forest is in danger of bieng destroyed. Too many trees have been cut down and civilization is getting to close to the forest.
We are the only ones that can stop this and we have to do it now by taking action and by educating the people about the importance of the Rain Forest in the Ecosystem of the island of Puerto Rico.
